The Chardham Yatra: One of the holiest pilgrimage circuits of four abodes named Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath in India. In this Yatra, Yatri has to reach Dehradun, a day prior to flying and stay for one night in Dehradun and from the next day they will fly to all the shrines with a one-night stay at each Dham, starting from Yamunotri Dham followed by Gangotri Dham, then Kedarnath Ji and at last they will reach at Badrinath Ji and then back to Dehradun.

Chardham Yatra Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Dehradun

  • Arrive at Jolly Grant Airport or Dehradun Railway Station.
  • Pick-up and transfer to a pre-booked hotel in Dehradun.
  • Enjoy a welcome dinner and briefing about the helicopter tour.
  • Overnight stay in Dehradun.

Day 2: Dehradun to Yamunotri

  • Early morning transfer to Sahastradhara Helipad for departure to Kharsali (Yamunotri).
  • On arrival, proceed for darshan at Yamunotri Temple via Palki/Pony.
  • Return and relax at the hotel after the darshan.
  • Overnight stay in Kharsali (Yamunotri).

Day 3: Yamunotri to Gangotri

  • Depart from Kharsali to Harsil Helipad (Gangotri).
  • Transfer to Gangotri Temple for darshan by local vehicle.
  • Explore the scenic beauty of Harsil Valley after the darshan.
  • Overnight stay in Harsil (Gangotri).

Day 4: Gangotri to Kedarnath

  • Depart for Kedarnath via Guptkashi/Sersi Helipad.
  • Board the shuttle helicopter for Kedarnath Temple darshan.
  • Have special priority darshan at Kedarnath Temple.
  • Return to Guptkashi/Sersi and relax at the hotel.
  • Overnight stay in Guptkashi/Sersi (Kedarnath).

Day 5: Kedarnath to Badrinath

  • Fly to Badrinath Helipad from Sersi.
  • Proceed for darshan at the holy Badrinath Temple.
  • Visit Mana Village, the last Indian village near the Tibet border (if time permits).
  • Overnight stay in Badrinath.

Day 6: Badrinath to Dehradun & Departure

  • Depart from Badrinath to Dehradun by helicopter.
  • On arrival, transfer to Dehradun Airport or Railway Station for onward journey.

Kailash Mansarovar Yatra Itinerary

Day 01: Kathmandu Arrival (1300 m)

  • Arrival at Kathmandu Airport. Hotel transfer. Trip briefing at 7:00 PM. Dinner & overnight stay in a 3-star hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing

  • Visit Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, and Jal Narayan Vishnu. Evening preparations for Yatra. Overnight stay in a 3-star hotel.

Day 03: Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1950 m)

  • Drive to Syabrubesi (155 km, 6-7 hrs). Overnight stay at a guest house/lodge.

Day 04: Drive to Kyirong (3700 m)

  • Drive to Rasuwagadhi for immigration, then to Kyirong (35 km, 2 hrs). Overnight stay at a hotel.

Day 05: Acclimatization at Kyirong

  • Full day for rest and acclimatization. Overnight stay at a hotel.

Day 06: Drive to Dongba / Saga (4250 m)

  • Drive to Dongba/Saga (268 km, 7-8 hrs). Enroute over Brahmaputra River. Overnight stay at a hotel.

Day 07: Dongba/Saga to Mansarovar Lake (4500 m)

  • Drive to Mansarovar Lake (422 km, 6-7 hrs). Overnight stay at a guest house near the lake.

Day 08: Lake Mansarovar to Darchen

  • Morning visit to Mansarovar Lake. Drive to Darchen (60 km, 1-2 hrs). Overnight stay at a guest house/hotel.

Day 09: First Day Parikrama of Mount Kailash – Dirapuk (4800 m)

  • Trek to Dirapuk (10 km). Darshan of the North Face of Mount Kailash. Overnight stay at a guest house.

Day 10: Second Day Parikrama of Mount Kailash – Zutulpuk (4790 m)

  • Trek from Dirapuk to Dolma La Pass and Zuthulpuk (22 km). Overnight stay at a guest house.

Day 11: Drive to Dongba

  • Complete 3rd day Parikrama (8 km). Drive back to Dongba. Overnight stay at a hotel.

Day 12: Dongba to Gyirong

  • Drive to Gyirong (270 km, 6-7 hrs). Overnight stay at a hotel.

Day 13: Drive to Kathmandu

  • Drive to Kathmandu via Rasuwagadhi border. Overnight stay at a 3-star hotel.

Day 14: Departure from Kathmandu

  • Transfer to Kathmandu Airport for departure. Tour ends.

Heli Route YATRA ITINERARY

KMY By Helicopter Itinerary

Day 1: Lucknow Arrival & Drive to Nepalgunj

  • Arrive at Lucknow, and drive around 4-5 hrs in Private AC coach for Nepalgunj.
  • Yatra briefing in the evening.
  • Overnight stay at Nepalgunj in Hotel Siddhartha or similar.
  • (Meal: B, L, D; Stay: Twin sharing in Hotel)

Day 2: Nepalgunj – Simikot – Hilsa – Purang

  • Early morning drive to the airport and catch a flight for Simikot.
  • From Simikot, fly to Hilsa by Helicopter, followed by a drive to Purang.
  • Overnight stay at Hotel Purang.
  • It’s a 40-50 minute flight from Nepalgunj to Simikot and then a 20-25 minute helicopter flight from Simikot to Hilsa.
  • In some cases, we stay at Simikot in a guest house for the 3rd night and then move for Purang on the 4th day. This helps in better stepwise acclimatization depending on the weather.
  • (Meal: B, L, D; Stay: Triple sharing in Hotel in Purang, Quad sharing in Guest House if in Simikot)

Day 3: Acclimatization at Purang

  • Entire day free for acclimatization and a short trek for Mount Kailash Parikrama.
  • Overnight stay at Hotel Purang. Purang is a small & very clean town. You can do shopping from the local market.
  • (Meal: B, L, D; Stay: Triple sharing in Hotel in Purang)

Day 4: Purang – Rakashtal – Mansarovar Lake – Yam Dwar – Purang

  • Drive roughly 2 hours in AC private vehicle to Mansarovar Lake and then complete Parikrama of Mansarovar Lake (approx. 105 KMs).
  • From Mansarovar Lake, you will get to see Mount Kailash & Rakshastal thereafter.
  • After a short drive from Lake Mansarovar, you will reach Yamdwar. Enjoy the darshan of the North Face of Mount Kailash.
  • After darshan, return to Purang & stay in Hotel New Purang or similar.

Day 5: Hilsa – Nepalgunj – Lucknow

  • Drive to Hilsa by AC luxury vehicle.
  • Fly back to Simikot by Helicopter, then to Nepalgunj by flight, and finally drive to Lucknow.
  • Now you are free to proceed for your home destination with blessings of Lord Shiva!

Day 1: Lucknow Arrival

  • After breakfast we will drive around 4-5 hrs in AC coach for Nepalgunj.
  • Yatra briefing in evening.

  • Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
  • Stay: Twin sharing basis

Day 3: Nepalgunj – Simikot – Hilsa – Purang

  • Early Morning drive to Airport and catch flight for Simikot.
  • Fly to Hilsa by Helicopter, wait for other group travellers and then drive to Purang.
  • Overnight stay at Hotel.
  • (Flight: 40-50 mins from Nepalgunj to Simikot; Helicopter: 10-20 mins from Simikot to Hilsa).
  • In some cases, we may stay at Simikot / Hilsa in guest house on 3rd night and move for Purang on 4th Day.
  • Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
  • Stay: Triple sharing in Hotel in Purang / Guesthouse stay if halted in Simikot or Hilsa

Day 4: Acclimatization at Purang

  • A short trek and acclimatization may be taken in preparation for Mount Kailash Parikrama.
  • You can shop trekking sticks, water gallon for Holy Mansarovar Water. Bargaining is common here.
  • Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
  • Stay: Triple sharing in Hotel

Day 5: Purang to Mansarovar Lake

  • Drive roughly 2 hours in AC Volvo category bus to Mansarovar Lake.
  • Complete Holy Lake Parikrama of approx. 105 KM.
  • First view of Mount Kailash and Rakshastal.
  • Overnight stay at Guest House near Lake Mansarovar.
  • Optionally visit Lake Mansarovar at night or early morning (Brahm Muhurt).
  • Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
  • Stay: Multiple sharing in Guest House / Dormitory

Day 6: Mansarovar to Darchen

  • Short drive from Lake Mansarovar to Darchen (base of Kailash Parikrama).
  • Evening free for rest & preparation.
  • Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
  • Stay: Triple sharing in Hotel

Day 7: First Day Parikrama of Mount Kailash

  • Drive to Yamdwar and trek to Dirapuk.
  • Enjoy darshan of North Face of Mount Kailash.
  • For those not doing Parikrama: stay in Darchen / Purang with meals & accommodation arranged.

Day 8: Second Day Parikrama of Mount Kailash

  • Trek from Dirapuk to Dolma La Pass and descend to Zuthulpuk.
  • Witness Shivasthal, Gauri Kund, and East face of Mount Kailash.
  • Most challenging day with steep climb to 5600m (first 6-7 KM), remaining 16 KM is easier.
  • Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
  • Stay: Multiple sharing in Guest House / Dormitory

Day 9: Drive to Purang

  • Third day Parikrama (8 KM trek) takes 3 hours.
  • Return to Darchen and drive to Purang.
  • Overnight stay at Hotel.
  • Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
  • Stay: Triple sharing

Day 10: Hilsa – Nepalgunj – Lucknow

  • Drive to Hilsa, fly to Simikot by Helicopter, then to Nepalgunj by flight.
  • Drive to Lucknow.

  • Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 11: Lucknow Departure
